Claims and evidence
Claims on one side. Evidence on the other.
The hard part is not finding a claim about KPV.
The hard part is noticing where the research stops.
For KPV, it stops before a study in a living person.
Checked against FDA records and published studies on September 28, 2026.

PART A
Change the level of detail
Press “Short answer” for the plain result, or “What the study was” to see the kind of experiment behind it. Both cover the same four topics.
Short answer
Gut and bowel disease
Mouse studies found less bowel inflammation, but no person with bowel disease has been studied with KPV.
Skin and wounds
A lab test on donated skin found that KPV did not pass through intact skin in a measurable amount.
Cancer
One mouse experiment looked at preventing lab-caused bowel tumors; KPV has not been tested in a person with cancer.
Open questions
No one knows what side effects KPV causes in people, because no one has studied people taking it.
What the study was
Gut and bowel disease
The best-known gut results came from mice given bowel inflammation (colitis) on purpose in a lab, and from human cells grown in a dish.
Skin and wounds
The donated-skin experiment was outside a living body and says nothing about a particular product.
Cancer
The tumor result came from mice given bowel tumors on purpose in a lab; KPV was used to prevent them, not to treat anyone.
Open questions
The FDA found no animal tests of whether KPV is poisonous in the short or long term, damages genes, harms pregnancy or raises cancer risk.
PART B
Promising is not the same as proven
Early research can explain why scientists are curious without answering what happens in a patient.
A cell result can show
How KPV might act on cells under careful lab conditions.
It cannot show
That a medicine helps a person, reaches the right tissue or avoids harm.
An animal result can show
An effect in a living animal that is worth studying further.
It cannot show
That the same result will happen in people.
A human trial could show
Whether a clearly named product helps people, and what problems it causes.
The KPV gap
As of September 28, 2026, FDA records and two public search tools found no KPV study in people.
The tools were ClinicalTrials.gov, the government list of medical studies, and PubMed, the government index of medical journal articles.
